न्याय व विशेष सहाय्य विभागाने ८ एप्रिल ते १४ एप्रिल २०२६ या कालावधीत राज्यभर 'भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर सामाजिक समता सप्ताह' अत्यंत उत्साहात साजरा करण्याचा
शासन निर्णय (GR) निर्गमित केला आहे.
या सप्ताहाचे विशेष आकर्षण आणि कार्यक्रम:
संविधानाचा
जागर: सप्ताहाच्या पहिल्या दिवशी
राज्यातील प्रत्येक कुटुंबाला भारतीय संविधानाच्या उद्देशिकेची (प्रस्ताविका) प्रत
वितरित केली जाईल, जेणेकरून नागरिकांना आपल्या मूलभूत हक्कांची आणि कर्तव्यांची जाणीव
होईल.
त्रिवेणी
ऐतिहासिक औचित्य: सन २०२६ हे वर्ष महाड चवदार तळे
सत्याग्रहाचे शताब्दी वर्ष, महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले जयंतीचे द्विशताब्दी वर्ष आणि संत गाडगे महाराज यांच्या जयंतीचे १५० वे वर्ष म्हणून साजरे केले जाणार आहे.
विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी
व्यासपीठ: शाळा, महाविद्यालये आणि शासकीय
वसतिगृहांमध्ये बाबासाहेबांच्या विचारांवर आधारित निबंध, वक्तृत्व, लघुनाट्य आणि वक्तृत्व
स्पर्धांचे आयोजन केले जाणार आहे.
महिला
सक्षमीकरण: विशेष महिला मेळावे आयोजित करून
बाबासाहेबांनी महिलांच्या प्रगतीसाठी आणि हक्कासाठी केलेल्या ऐतिहासिक कार्याची
माहिती दिली जाईल.
आरोग्य
आणि लोकसेवा: जिल्ह्या-जिल्ह्यांत रक्तदान
शिबिरे, स्वच्छता अभियान आणि ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांसाठी विशेष मेळाव्यांचे आयोजन
केले जाईल.
प्रशासकीय तत्परता: १३ एप्रिल रोजी राज्यातील सर्व जिल्हा जात पडताळणी कार्यालयांतर्गत प्रलंबित प्रकरणांचा निपटारा करून 'ऑनलाईन वैधता प्रमाणपत्र' (Online Validity) प्रदान करण्यात येतील.
निधी आणि नियोजन:
या भव्य सप्ताहाच्या आयोजनासाठी डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था (बार्टी), पुणे यांच्यामार्फत प्रत्येक जिल्ह्याला ३ लाख रुपये निधी त्वरित उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आला आहे. जिल्हा स्तरावर समाजकल्याण विभागाचे सहाय्यक आयुक्त या सप्ताहाच्या अंमलबजावणीसाठी जबाबदार असतील. शासनाने स्पष्ट केले आहे की, हे सर्व कार्यक्रम राबवताना कोणत्याही प्रकारच्या निवडणूक आचारसंहितेचा भंग होणार नाही, याची सर्व संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांनी काटेकोरपणे दक्षता घ्यायची आहे

Maharashtra from April 8 to 14; A Historic Decision by the State Government
Mumbai: The intellectual legacy of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar—the
architect of modern India who ushered in a dawn of self-respect in the lives of
the downtrodden and the deprived by giving the clarion call, "Educate,
Organize, and Agitate"—is now set to reach every household with even
greater intensity. Moving beyond mere ceremonial birth anniversary
celebrations, the Government of Maharashtra has organized a special 'Social
Equality Week' (Samajik Samata Saptah) with the aim of deeply embedding in the
public consciousness the values of democracy, liberty, equality, and
fraternity that Babasaheb enshrined through the Constitution. Coinciding with
the centenary year of the historic Mahad 'Chavdar Tale' Satyagraha and the
bicentenary birth anniversary of Mahatma Phule, this week is poised to chart a
new course for Maharashtra's ongoing social revolution.

Detailed Report: The Social Justice and Special Assistance Department of the
Government of Maharashtra has issued a Government Resolution (GR) mandating the
enthusiastic observance of the 'Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Social
Equality Week' across the state from April 8 to April 14, 2026.
Key Highlights and Programs of the Week:
Constitutional Awareness: On the first day of the week, a copy of the
Preamble to the Indian Constitution will be distributed to every household in
the state, with the aim of making citizens aware of their fundamental rights
and duties.
A Confluence of Three Historic Occasions: The year 2026 marks a unique
convergence of three historic milestones: the centenary (100th anniversary) of
the Mahad 'Chavdar Tale' (Lake) Satyagraha, the bicentenary (200th anniversary)
of the birth of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and the 150th birth anniversary of Saint
Gadge Maharaj.
A Platform for Students:Schools, colleges, and government hostels will
host various competitions—including essay writing, elocution, and short plays—centered
on the thoughts and philosophy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Women's Empowerment: Special gatherings for women will be organized to
disseminate information regarding the historic work undertaken by Dr. Babasaheb
Ambedkar for the advancement and rights of women.
Health and Public
Service: Blood donation
camps, cleanliness drives, and special gatherings for senior citizens will be
organized across every district.
Administrative Efficiency: On April 13, pending cases under all District
Caste Verification Offices across the state will be resolved, and 'Online
Validity Certificates' will be issued.
Funding and Planning:
To facilitate the organization of this grand week-long event, funds amounting
to ₹3 lakh have been immediately made available to each district through the
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune. At the
district level, the Assistant Commissioner of the Social Welfare Department
will be responsible for the implementation of this week's activities. The
government has explicitly directed that all concerned officials must exercise
strict vigilance to ensure that the implementation of these programs does not
result in any violation of the Election Model Code of Conduct.
